Chapter 2 Season 5 of Fortnite has been a colossal success, primarily owing to a plethora of collaborations. Several bounty hunters from popular game and movie franchises have arrived on the island up till now. Chapter 2 Season 6 is right around the corner; naturally, Epic Games will want to end the current season with another collaboration and an equally exciting live event.
Speculations about the last bounty hunter in Chapter 2 Season 5 have been floating around for a long time now. Following the 15.40 update, data miners had highlighted a XL sized male skin in the game files. As a result, many believed that either Peter Griffin or Thanos will soon make their way to Fortnite.

However, it seems like Ant-Man from the Marvel cinematic universe will be the last hunter, and will conclude Chapter 2 Season 5. This implies that fan theories suggesting the return of Singularity have also turned out to be false.

Ant-Man is arguably one of the most complex, yet interesting Marvel superheroes. His ability to shrink and increase his size has attracted millions of fans around the world. Ant-Man might carry these powers to the Fortnite universe, and his largest form might be the recently added XL sized skin in the game files.

From the Mandalorian to Ryu and Chun-Li from Street Fighter, Chapter 2 Season 5 of Fortnite has facilitated some of the most unexpected crossovers in the history of the game. However, Ant-Man being the last hunter has disappointed many fans.
Chapter 2 Season 4 of Fortnite was already themed around superheroes like Thor, Iron Man, Wolverine, and many others. From the looks of it, the community wasn’t expecting a Marvel character yet again. Instead, a brand new collaboration or an original skin could have better catered to the ongoing storyline and ended the season with a blast.

Some fans believe Epic Games failed to release the Ant-Man, Black Panther and Captain Marvel skins on time owing to legal implications. Accordingly, the developers are rolling out these Marvel skins now to compensate for the delay.
The upcoming Season 6 of Fortnite is also rumored to be a massive collaboration with DC. Epic Games and DC Comics have even announced a brand new comic named Batman/Fortnite: Zero Point.
