Miami Hurricanes went undefeated Saturday with a 52-45 win against the Louisville Cardinals at L&N Federal Credit Union Stadium in Louisville, Kentucky. After a relaxing bye week, the Hurricanes vested their best with all the bigwigs, including Hall of Famer Michael Irvin, Xavier Restrepo, and the impact quarterback Cam Ward, serving their personal sublime to the field. That said, it was only the sportscaster duo who screwed it up with a bit extra cheese to the toast of a perfect awe-inspiring fight. At least, that is what veteran reporter Tim Reynolds deems with his minute expert lens.

If the core play were the cake, a crisp and fiery commentary would be the cherry, something every football fan would agree with. But the renowned pairing of Joe Tessitore and Jordan Rodgers allegedly fell short of living up to that bar in the high-flying Miami-Louisville game. Reynolds, the South Florida-based reporter, took to X to call the broadcasters’ credibility out for mindlessly putting Xavier Restrepo over HOF Michael Irvin with a faulty comparison. He also slammed them for presenting a wrong stat regarding Cam Ward’s touchdown counts.

However, despite a bit of commentary all over the place, the essence of the Hurricanes’ crazy road win still lingers. Especially for Cam Ward, the stack looks really high.

Ward continued to live up to his Heisman hopes with a mesmerizing 21-of-32 for 319 yards with four touchdowns and no interceptions, while also rushing for 29 yards.

If we look at the latest odd picks for the biggest honor of the CFB realm, Cam Word will face strides while facing Boise State’s Ashton Jeanty, Oregon quarterback Dillon Gabriel, and Colorado cornerback/wide receiver Travis Hunter for the top race. But no matter what, Ward’s leading performance against Lousiville is breaking all the logic. He orchestrated a few touchdown drives, triggering Ajay Allen for a yard run and  Damien Martinez for a 30-yard run.

”His mindset is that of a linebacker who is trying to kick your ass on every single play. He’s an alpha dog,’‘ said Cristobal about the Washington State transfer who has been the key contributor in transforming the Hurricanes’ offense in the year 2024.

So, regardless of what the broadcasters said his stat was a bit wrong, Ward, in all his intents and purpose, signed up for a breakout season. Heck, next spring, the NFL teams will possibly get his name listed but Christobal doesn’t seem ready to let him go as usual.
