Rockstar Games have been producing mind-bending titles for decades now. They launched Red Dead Redemption 2 back in 2018. It still holds the record for the second-biggest launch in the history of entertainment. The game generated $725 million in its opening weekend and won the ‘Game of the Year’ award from many gaming publications.
RDR2 has sold over 32 million copies and is evidently one of the finest open-world games ever. And now, there is a growing rumor that Rockstar might add new content to it for the next-gen consoles.

Red Dead Redemption 2: Leak hints towards long-awaited gameplay feature
A new leak suggests that a long-awaited feature might make its way to the story and online mode of RDR2.
A Twitter user @VideoTech_ identified some interesting files that hinted towards the return of ‘Director Mode’. This mode was last seen in GTA V back in 2015.
As the name suggests, the ‘Director Mode’ will enable the player to use and control any animal or character in the game. However, it is possible that some characters might still be unplayable.
The ‘Director Mode’ in Red Dead Redemption 2 will allow the player to control characters and possibly even horses that are an integral part of the game. But rumors suggest that Jack Marston will be an unplayable character.
‘Director Mode’ will also allow the players to generate creative content, the emergence of which we witnessed in GTA.
Director Mode is likely happening. It appears Jack Marston won't be a playable character according to this new mention in the files. This new mention was leftover in 'ambientpedmodelsets.meta' from the Naturalist update.
