Rafael Nadal’s Uncle Reveals That He Is ‘Worried’ Ahead of Novak Djokovic Clash at French Open 2020 Finals

The French Open is finally coming to a close and in the final,  Rafael Nadal will again compete for the title. This win will be very important for him as he is trying to equal Roger Federer’s long-standing Grand Slam record. As per his uncle Toni, this additional stake will certainly make the Spaniard more nervous than usual. He said,

“Since Rafael agreed to the final, You already think about this game and you think about it. You know how important it is for him to win this title and the nerves are normal before a big date.”

In the final, the Spaniard faces a blistering hot Novak Djokovic. The Serb is one of the two players to have beaten him in Paris and he has been worrying Toni Nadal for a while.

“From the first moment, I was more worried about Djokovic. He arrives in great form, I think we will see a more competitive match,” he said.

Rafael Nadal is at a disadvantage

Novak Djokovic has been in an incredible form in 2020, losing only one match. However, that is not the only reason for Rafa to be worried.

Since the event is being played in September, the conditions are a lot cooler. This means that Nadal can’t extract as much topspin out of the surface. So far, it has not affected him but he has not faced an opponent of Djokovic’s caliber.

Clearly, this is going to be the toughest challenge that Rafa has ever faced at the Roland Garros. However, he is the 12-time winner in Paris for a reason. All of his fans can expect him to play his best tennis today and hopefully, it will be enough for him to be victorious once again.
