Currently, an Iranian teenager Meshkatolzahra Safi is competing in the girl’s juniors category at the Australian Open 2022. She is one of the many youngsters who sees Rafa as her true inspiration.
Notably, Safi became the first Iranian girl to win a match at a Grand Slam junior event. During the course of this past week, the 17-YO came across her idol, Rafael Nadal, who has inspired her to become a professional tennis player.

Positive start for the young Iranian and also for Rafa
Speaking on her performance so far, she managed to knock out Australian qualifier Anja Nayar in straight sets. Safi will now be facing Belgium’s Sofia Costoulas in the upcoming round.

Coming on to Rafa, he will be facing a familiar opponent in Canada’s Denis Shapovalov. The 22-year-old player has beaten the former World No. 1 player in the past. However, to do it in a 5-set Grand Slam match is a different ball game.
