

World No.2 Rafael Nadal is known for his strong mental strength. The Spaniard has displayed this incredible character trait of his on several occasions and has proved that his mind is a fortress on the tennis court.
Rafael Nadal has always been praised for his mental strength and fighting spirit. The Mallorcan explained that he gets this fighting spirit as he is passionate about the game and hence the sacrifice is not much.

Rafael Nadal said: “I always wanted to have this fighting spirit, but I do what makes me passionate, so the sacrifice is less.”
The 33-year-old revealed that he is contented with his ability to overcome all the physical problems and injuries over a decade and a half. The Mallorcan suggested that he always finds a way to resolve the physical issues with his mental strength and his willingness to play the sport.

He continued, “But what I am really satisfied with is the ability to overcome myself, continuing to deal with all the problems and difficulties that I had physically. I was always able to find a way, the excitement I have, with the ability to do well.”
Rafael Nadal has not competed on the ATP tour since the Laver Cup 2019, where he injured his left hand. The Spaniard also withdrew from the Shanghai Rolex Masters 2019, last week.

However, despite missing the Masters 1000 event in China, Nadal will return to the No.1 position in the ATP rankings next month as Novak Djokovic will lose 1600 ATP points in a single day in November and hence the Spaniard will replace the Serb at the top position.

Rafael Nadal is scheduled to return to the Paris Masters 2019. However, it is still unclear when the US Open 2019 champion will return to the ATP Tour.
