On the eve of celebrating his first marriage anniversary, Rafael Nadal was graced with good news. Construction of his new mansion has now begun, something which had been delayed for several years.
The property is located in the small town of Manacor in Mallorca. Due to some hurdles related to the geography of the property, Rafa’s dream project was delayed for seven years. Rafa had bought the property for a whopping $4million dollars in 2013.

The property is over 700 square meters and has direct access to the sea. This news comes at the time when Rafa and his wife Maria Perello celebrate their first marriage anniversary. Rafa and Maria got married last year on October 19 in a small ceremony. Rafa and Maria have been together since 2005.
Nadal is one of the highest-paid athletes in the world. One of his prized possession is a 6.2 million Sunreef Yacht. Nadal has often spoken about his love for the sea, so his new project is close to his heart as it has access to the Mediterranean sea. His new home will be like his yacht, which he uses to get a break from tennis. Nadal has explained that the sea calms him, so he spends a considerable amount of the off-season on his yacht in the sea.
It has been a great few weeks for Rafael Nadal. He displayed another dominant performance at his favorite French Open. He claimed a record-extending 13th French Open title. And most importantly, he equaled with Roger Federer in terms of the Grand Slam tally.

It is reported that the watch is a symbol of the 10-years of collaboration between Richard Mille and Rafael Nadal. It is a limited edition and is called RM 27-04 Tourbillon Rafael Nadal.
