So far this season, Sergio Perez seems to have the measure of his younger teammate, Lance Stroll. However, Racing Point have faith that the Canadian has the ability to be faster than teammate Perez with more experience.
The Canadian is still a fairly controversial figure on the grid, with many disapproving of his move to replace Esteban Ocon. His switch from Williams F1 came about after his father bought the remnants of the former Force India team almost a year ago.
However, he does show glimpses of his talent, courtesy three strong drives through the field to P9 this season. Sadly, it has often been overshadowed by an unwanted streak of 13 races without making it out of Q1 in qualifying which is hampering his race performance.

“So, we’ve got every confidence he can do it – it just takes a bit of time.”
