Shots fired! The 2024 NFL season is knocking on the door and we already have our very first public feud between two players. Malik Nabers, the New York Gaints’ rookie wide receiver, revealed that he was most excited to go up against the Dallas Cowboys star Trevon Diggs. It kicked off an online beef that has escalated quite quickly!
After Nabers’ callout, Diggs took to his X (formerly Twitter) account and wrote, “Giants been getting belt for some years now.” Malik did not hold back and replied to Diggs’ “belt” jab with a lyric from the song ‘Boot Up’ by YoungBoy Never Broke Again. It read, “Pussy want to Insta’ beef, he Tweetin’ and I see all of that.” After being drafted in 2024, the LSU Tigers alumni is already building up storylines for his NFL debut.

Trevon Diggs is also quite excited about running into the young prospect. He retweeted a post from Law Nation Sports regarding the ongoing virtual quarrel with a ninja emoji! The NFC East clash between the two heavyweight teams will go down on September 26, 2024, inside the MetLife Stadium. With the beef as the backdrop, fans can expect it to be a high-voltage clash!
Trevon Diggs is no stranger to controversy
Trevon Diggs never shies away from controversy. In August 2023, he had a verbal altercation with his teammate and Cowboys’ QB Dak Prescott. In a viral video, the 25-year-old yelled “shut your b*tch a** up” to Prescott, who threw the ball at Diggs and walked off. Many predicted that the Maryland native was all set to have a great season for Big D; unfortunately, that did not happen.

The Cowboys’ defensive back suffered a setback last year after his ACL tear before the week 3 Cardinals game. But there is good news for America’s Team as the assistant coach Al Harris gave an update on Diggs’ return. In May this year, Harris said, “It looks good.” Diggs already has 173 tackles since joining the franchise in 2020. Hence, the Mike McCarthy-led team suffered and ultimately fell short to the Packers in the Wild Card round last season.
So, the Dallas faithful will be eager to catch their star cornerback in action next year. With the Malik Navers drama at its peak, there will be a lot of interest in the Eagles’ return to the gridiron.
