Sony released their next generation of consoles last year with the PlayStation 5. The company released their first major revamp of their console line since the release of PS4 in November 2013. PlayStation entered the market last year with a lot of new tiles like Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart and many more.
Some of these have also released these titles on the PS4 as well. But many of them will remain as PS5 exclusives. With games like God of War: Ragnarok and Horizon Forbidden West set to arrive on both consoles, is it really worth for fans to buy the next-generation of gaming systems from PlayStation?

Why the PlayStation 5 is so much better than the PlayStation 4?
Currently, the PlayStation 5 costs $499 with the Digital Edition which doesn’t have a disc drive coming in at $399. With a custom SSD as its primary storage device, the PS5 will run much smoother than a PS4. Fans won’t have to worry about long loading times, but they will only have around 667 GB of storage capacity to work with. However, they can use an external HDD to store game files for PS4 titles, and they can also do it with PS5 titles following a system update.
Along with that, the hardware the players have at their disposal with the PS5 is much better. With this system, players can play their favorite titles on 4K resolution. Additionally, they can also use it to play them with 120 FPS which feels much better than regular 60 FPS. Plus, there’s also Ray Tracing which significantly improves the visuals of any game.
Is the PS5 worth buying?
Players who don’t have the hardware to handle the 4K resolution and 120 FPS output won’t appreciate the improvement with the PlayStation 5. But there are other reasons to take the plunge and buy the upgrade. It currently costs $100 more than the PS4 Pro, which is the best variant of the previous generation. So if players are purchasing a brand new console, then it’s obviously better to go with the PS5 even though it costs more because the hardware and the titles are worth it.

However, if a player already owns a PS4, then the decision might be a bit trickier. It’s difficult for players to justify the purchase of a $500 upgrade right now when there aren’t many titles to take advantage of the hardware. But more games will arrive soon, along with the upgraded version of existing ones. This includes titles like Grand Theft Auto V from Rockstar Games and many more. So players will definitely enjoy the gaming experience with the best visuals and gameplay.
