Both Sony and Microsoft have announced the date of launch and the prices of the PS5 and the Xbox range, respectively. PS5 launches on November 12 in the USA, and a week after for the rest of the world, starting at $399. The Xbox series, on the other hand, will make its way to the ramp just a couple of days before the PS5, starting at $299.
While most of the world awaits the launch of these consoles, one of the biggest gaming markets in the world still stands clueless. Sony mentioned China in its showcase just a few days back, but Microsoft is yet to make an official announcement regarding the country.
Sony displayed the launch dates towards the end of the showcase, after a breathtaking display of an array of exclusives.

“PS5 launch date for China is still under exploration and will be announced at a later date,” was visible when the dates were announced.
When will PS5 and Xbox arrive in China?
The fact that the new consoles won’t arrive in China at the same as other markets doesn’t come as a surprise. A rigid system of regulation and licensing in the media industry is the reason behind this delay. It is because of the same reason that PS4 and Xbox One were launched at specially targeted zones.
However, while neither Sony and Microsoft have announced a release date for China, buyers already have a load of options available. Sellers in China are accepting deposits for pre-orders for the new-gen consoles. Buyers can also place orders for accessories and the games that will be available shortly after they release for the rest of the world.

All console games in China need a license to be available in the market. Most of the games don’t get it because of the portrayal of violence and other sensitive themes.
Unsurprisingly, they still penetrate the market but albeit unofficially. This means by the time PS5 or Xbox launch in China, they might already be available in abundance. This sounds like a pretty elaborate system, but from what history tells us, it is pretty efficient.
