Not only Mikaela, but even her boyfriend, Aleksander Aamodt Kilde, is making headlines right now. One of the world’s finest downhill skiers, Kilde stole the show on Wednesday, as he secured the World Cup downhill title.

The power skiing couple has been shining at the World Cup, dominating the competitions. Hence, Shiffrin took to social media to pen down a heartwarming message for her boyfriend, congratulating him on his win.
Aleksander Kilde secures yet another win
On Wednesday, Aleksander Kilde beat Olympic champion, Beat Feuz, to secure the season-long downhill title. Although he secured 4th place in the finals, his overall points were enough to get him the title.
World No. 1 female skier, Mikaela Shiffrin, took to Instagram to congratulate her boyfriend on his well-deserved win.
“My biggest congratulations to the King @akilde for winning his DH globe today,” wrote Mikaela. Undoubtedly, Aleksander has worked hard for this win and he deserves every bit of it.

Aleksander beat Feuz with 13 points to secure the title. This means that Beat Feuz lost out on a 5th consecutive title. Previously also, Kilde put on a stunning performance at the Super-G Crystal Globe in Kvitfjell.

Both Aleksander Kilde and Mikaela Shiffrin had a rewarding day at the World Cup finals. While Kilde secured his World title, Mikaela too was not far behind. Shiffrin won the downhill event, giving her a fair chance at the World title.
Post-race, the couple was spotted hugging and congratulating each other. Notably, they trained together in the same course, and it’s possible that it helped them a lot.
