For many of us, Prince of Persia was the gateway to the world of RPG titles. The iconic video game franchise was a major craze back in the day, with each title more interesting than the last. Undoubtedly, the franchise is something deeply linked to our childhood and is one of the greatest ones Ubisoft ever created.

In September last year, Ubisoft announced it will release a remake of the first title in the franchise, Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time. The initial announcement stated that the company planned on releasing this title around January. However, Ubisoft released a later announcement to state that it has postponed the release to sometime in March.

While the entire community has been waiting in anticipation of this title, Ubisoft has announced that it has postponed the release yet again. The official prince of Persia Twitter handle posted a tweet making this announcement.

Ubisoft delays Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time release again

The Sands of Time is an iconic title by itself, in addition to being the bedrock of an iconic game series. The title has a captivating storyline, unlike many of its contemporaries. There is a huge amount of nostalgia we associate with the game. With the new generation of gaming that we see currently, we wonder how different the game will look.

As a result, the announcement from Ubisoft back in September saw hugely positive responses from the community. Further, it built a massive hype for this upcoming title. Naturally, the community is a little disappointed about the delay.

However, we need to keep in mind that the company has been trying to finish this production amidst the current pandemic situation. Moreover, the company has been working on this title while also working on other upcoming titles that are awaiting release.

Personally, we do not mind waiting for the title. After all, it is only one of the most iconic games from our childhood and we want it to be as perfect as it can get. Also, something tells us the wait is going to be worth it!
