PlayStation recently learned the hard way that asking about playing games on their console might be a bad idea when many of them don’t even have it. The company asked a very genuine question to the fans through a tweet. But it has hilariously backfired after fans of the iconic console makers had a lot to say about the global scarcity of the PlayStation 5.
Ever since its release last year, fans have had a hard time purchasing the new consoles from Xbox and PlayStation. However, it seems like the situation might improve soon. But, fans want to see results before they respond to questions like the one Sony posted yesterday.

PlayStation wants to know what players are playing
Recently, PlayStation posted a tweet on their Twitter account about what games the community might be playing currently. Many players responded with genuine answers, with many of them picking exclusives of the console. This includes Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, Spider-Man: Miles Morales, and many more. Along with that, many players also selected the upgraded version of old titles like Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade, Fortnite, Destiny 2 and many more.
Even though it has been almost 10 months since the console’s release, a lot of PlayStation 5 exclusive titles haven’t released yet. Many titles have even become delayed because of the pandemic. But, during the launch, PlayStation announced a lot of exciting games like Gran Turismo 7, Horizon: Forbidden West and others. Along with that, the developers will also launch upgraded versions of games like Grand Theft Auto V as well soon.

Fans berate Sony for shortage issues
However, this tweet also gained a lot of negative attention from fans of the console as well. Many customers couldn’t purchase it because of the massive global scarcity. Even though the PS5 has broken records set by the PS4, it still hasn’t become readily available for many players. The shortage has some major causes, including the lack of components like semiconductors. However, the company recently notified that they have found the parts required to meet the sales goal.
