Godfall, the first game that was confirmed for the PlayStation 5, is approaching its release date. It will hit the stores on November 12 for PS5 and Microsoft Windows. The upcoming action role-playing game is developed by Counterplay Games and published by Gearbox Publishing.

Targeting an enemy’s weaknesses is essential in Godfall

Foremost, enemy imperfections are vital for players who depend on patience as well as efficient aiming. With the use of their Valorplates, Valorian Knights can reveal where their enemies are at their weakest. These weak points are also exposed when enemies attack. To capitalize on it, players need to aim for a direct hit to deal bonus damage. Some weapons will also have perks leading to higher damage.

Breach an enemy and finish them with the soul-shatter

In the world of Aperion, some enemies are heavily armored as compared to others. To take out such enemies, players need to hit them with heavy attacks (R2). Heavy attacks, along with light attacks (R1), help in breaching the enemy’s armor, and eventually, players can take down the stunned enemy.

After making the enemies vulnerable, the best thing to do is to Soulshatter them. Every enemy has a spiritual fabric and targeting them can utterly destroy them. With constant damage to the foes, the vandalism of a heavy attack keeps increasing. If performed correctly, and at the right moment, Soulshatter finishes are the perfect way to achieve victory.

Importance of mid-fight weapon swapping in Godfall

A very interesting dynamic of the game is the Polarity attack. Polarity attacks charge up when players hit their opponents. With a full charge, a weapon swap increases weapon damage by 20% for 30 seconds. It also releases a shockwave. Players can also increase the shockwave’s damage by leveling up specific attributes.

Even this Polarity attack is related to the loot traits that can enhance the efficiency of this attack.

Even the most defensive items such as shields can help in attacking the enemies. Surprisingly, there are multiple ways to do so that includes:

• Parrying – Leaving enemies vulnerable with a perfect defense
• Shield Throw – Hold L1 to aim and press R2 to throw, does significant damage.
• Stomach Punch- Unlocks from skill grid, and very effective in close range
• Flat Bash- Also unlocks from the skill grid, helps in interrupting even the Red Power (non-interruptible) attacks.
• Other abilities like Ground Slam, Area Blast, and Zoom attack unlock from the skill arsenal and are very effective in combat.

Last but not least, the game has intense combat modes like the Archon mode where players can extensively increase their damage stats and use the best of their abilities. Even the weapon arsenal looks very attractive with Dual Blades, Longsword, Warhammer, Polearm, and the Greatsword. As the names suggest, all the weapons are different based upon their own strengths and utility.
