PlayStation takes action regarding the GTA Trilogy’s early access

Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy–The Definitive Edition was supposed to launch at 7 am PST / 10 am ET / 3 pm GMT on all platforms. However, players who had pre-ordered the digital version of the game on the PlayStation Store got early access by midnight. It meant that users from New Zealand, Australia, and the UK tried out the game 24 hours earlier.

Naturally, Sony decided to prevent players from getting this early access. The game has now been pulled from the PlayStation Store. Moreover, it enraged players, as the 24 hours early access was not a big deal for them.

However, that’s not the end, as after being removed from the PlayStation Store, users cannot pre-order the game. They can only add the game to their wishlist, meaning few players will get access to the game on its official launch. Furthermore, the Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S versions of the game are still available for pre-order, as it didn’t face the same issue.

Thus, in order to stop the chaos, Rockstar also released its own GTA: The Trilogy gameplay footage a day before the launch.
