Gamers around the world have entered the new generation of gaming with the PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series X/S. As expected, the demand for both the consoles has been sky-scraping since release. So much so that Sony and Microsoft are currently struggling to satisfy it.
The coronavirus pandemic has severely affected the production capacity of both the console giants. Accordingly, a plethora of gamers haven’t been able to get their hands on a PS5 or a Xbox Series X/S yet.
Despite the supply shortage, the latest numbers by PlayStation look very promising. The PS5 is already on its way to become the company’s most successful console, and the total subscribers of subscription services like PS Plus are also rising steadily.
