This situation isn’t favorable for Sony in any way, considering there will now be a lengthy legal process involved here. This will definitely push back the launch date for PlayStation 5 in India even further, possibly even to 2021. Additionally, The Mako Reactor also reached out to Sony India for comment. The response they got was,
“Thank you for bringing this to our attention, however we have no comments at this stage.”
A specific launch date was never in place for India. Hopefully, Sony will act swiftly on this and resolve the legal issues as soon as possible. India is one of the growing Asian markets for gaming and it’ll be unfavorable for Sony to miss out on a launch in such a lucrative market.
