The new-gen console from the house of Sony has emerged as the most successful one as of now. According to the recent data on their Game & Network Services Segment, the PlayStation 5 has had the highest earnings in a transition year (2020) and has seen the highest ever launch year sales. This is beyond impressive as we all remember the whole ordeal involving the shortage of supply of PlayStation 5 units. The console managed to sell 7.8 million units during its launch quarter alone. In terms of the performance, the PS5 has not disappointed us and has actually revolutionized the gaming experience. In short, the PS5 delivered what it promised to.

PlayStation 5 features powerful hardware trhat ushered in the new-gen of gaming. This beast can run games on 4K at 60FPS and even delivers an all-around immersive experience to the player. Especially with the DualSense controller, which recreates tactile experience in-game for the player through haptic feedback. This feature has come to be central to the revolutionary gameplay experience of PlayStation 5. So much so that many titles are calibrating themselves specifically to make the best of the DualSense controller.

Speaking of titles, the data also mentions that the PlayStation 5 currently has the most exciting post-launch lineup of titles as well. Now, this is something perhaps we can all unanimously agree on. Including the third-party titles, both this year and the past year have had quite an exciting lineup of titles for the PlayStation platform.

PlayStation 5 has the most exciting post-launch lineup in PS history

According to the Game & Network Services Segment data from Sony, PlayStation 5 has the “best” lineup of post-launch titles in PlayStation history. Now, the basis for the gradation fo these titles is their scores on Metacritic (an overall average score of 84).

Currently, the console is awaiting the release of first-party titles like Gran Turismo 7, God of War Ragnarok, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, among many others. Not to mention Horizon Forbidden West and the reccent release Returnal. However, the lineup of third-party titles is just as impressive. We have Deathloop, Far Cry 6, Ghostwire Tokyo, and many other titles to look forward to. Well, new-gen has been quite impressive so far.
