One of the best features of Steam is the time counter. The little thing lets players know how long they have spent playing a game. However, all this while, players on the PlayStation have had to keep a mental count of how long they have played a game.
Back in the day, it was the only thing gamers bragged about. Grinding over 6000 hours on a game like Counter-Strike: Global Offensive would make a player semi-pro. Pushing it to 10,000 hours and one could even call themselves a pro. Undoubtedly, the time players spend on a game holds significance.
The next-gen PlayStation 5 finally brings a feature that will let players know this.

The counter will be available on a player’s user profile page that will contain a list of all the games a user has played. Moreover, it will also list down the last time the game was played.

The stats are accurate to the minute since the counter doesn’t round them off. Another interesting thing about the feature is that it doesn’t stop at PlayStation 5 games. It will also take into account PS4 games owned by the player. Therefore, players will also get to know how much time they spent playing each game on their previous console.
Although the feature is not a performance upgrade, quality of life changes like this also enhance the gaming experience. Not only will this help players earn those bragging rights, but also help them monitor the amount of time they spend on a game and enable them to ensure a healthy balance.
