Tennis personality Eugenie Bouchard has been one of the most notable players on the Tour. The Canadian star is quite popular with fans and amongst the tennis fraternity. When she first emerged on Tour, she grew in popularity rather quickly.
Recently, Eugenie Bouchard was following the fourth-round match between Elina Svitolina and Simona Halep. The Ukrainian star ended up winning the match in straight sets, 6-3 6-3. The Canadian player was impressed with the performance of Svitolina and tweeted, “Svitolina is playing VERY good tennis. So positive as well.”

Elina Svitolina dazzled Eugenie Bouchard
Reflecting on the match, Elina was playing a consistent game right from the word go. During the entire match, she served brilliantly and left no room for error. Overall, it was a clinical performance, which was appreciated by Bouchard.
Speaking on Bouchard’s season so far, she began by competing at the Australian Open but couldn’t make it past the second qualifying round. After that, she played a couple of tournaments in Mexico, reaching the finals in the first event and losing in the opening round in the second.

Since then, she has not played any event and had to undergo surgery on her right shoulder. She has not been on the Tour for a long time. However, she had taken up the role of an analyst on the Tennis Channel and continued to do so until the US Open Series events were over with.

It will be interesting to see when she steps next on a tennis court. It is yet not known if she will be able to compete in the current season. We wish her a speedy recovery as fans are hoping to see her back on the tennis courts again.
