Phillip Joel Hughes, the talented batsman from New South Wales, Australia was a child prodigy. No one ever doubted his technique and playing style. He announced his arrival in the big stage when he scored two hundred in two innings in the test match against South Africa which made him the youngest batsman ever to achieve this feat.

In his small Test career, he played a key role in tests while playing for Australia and scoring lots of runs both at home and abroad. But, very few know that he also kept wickets in the test match.
It was the fifth day of the first test match between Australia and Sri Lanka.To experiment, Michael Clarke, the Aussies captain gave the over to the wicket keeper Mathew Wade.Phil Hughes quickly padded up for wicket keeping for the first time in his career.

Australia eventually won the game with 10 overs to spare and Clarke said he would continue to be innovative in his quest to win Test matches.
