Cyberpunk 2077 was not a bad game at its core, but there was much wrong with that game nonetheless. The biggest problem with it was that it was missing some major features that developers promised at launch.

Yes, it had a sprawling open world, and it indeed even had an exciting story to tell, but broken AI, bad performance, and a non-existent wanted system made that game a target of hateful comments. CD Projekt Red overpromised and underdelivered; both of these things are sins in gaming. The game nevertheless became a success. But it appears the developer might not deliver on that promise yet.

With this new and upcoming DLC, Phantom Liberty, some huge things are coming to this already huge game. The biggest of them all is Hollywood actor Idris Elba, who is joining the game as a crucial character. Then there are a bunch of improvements to the game itself. It has been changed to such an extent that the developer suggests they are finally delivering on the promise they made years ago.

This new DLC would add a whole new sprawling region to the already large and “breathtaking” Night City. In addition to that, the game would feature numerous new weapons and vehicles. Then there’s a new wanted system that CD Projekt Red claims would make the cops much more aggressive than they ever were.

They have also redesigned the perks and cyberware in this game, and they are also introducing a brand new relic skill tree to this game. Finally, the developers have added a much more fleshed-out vehicular combat system to Cyberpunk 2077.

The best part is that all these new additions will also come to the base game. Even if you choose not to purchase the DLC, you will still get most of these improvements.
