Charles Howell III made his Tour debut at the Buick Challenge as an amateur when he was 17. He joined the Tour in 2001 and won the Rookie of the Year Award in the same year. The 42-year-old has only three wins throughout his PGA career. However, he had a history of not finishing outside the Top 125 in money earnings until last season.
Howell is not famous for winning most titles among the golfers but being the most consistent. It was in last year the golfer lost his streak and failed to qualify for the playoffs since the beginning of his career. Making a 600th career start is a milestone.
