The RBC Heritage is one of the most prestigious tournaments on the calendar. While it is not the most popular event on the PGA Tour, the Harbour Town Golf Links venue holds a lot of reverence. So what are the details behind the tournament’s prize purse? What is the payout the champion will receive at RBC Heritage 2021?
Over the years, the RBC Heritage tournament has seen a steady increase in the total prize purse. It was $6,900,000 in 2019, and the amount increased to $7,100,000 the subsequent year. However, 2021 did not see a surge in the prize purse as it is the same $7.1 million dollars.

Of course, the winner of the tournament will be awarded the highest cash prize at RBC Heritage. The champion will receive a massive 18% stake of the total prize purse, which would be $1.278 million, after doing all the math.
Webb Simpson took home the same figure after he reigned supreme at Harbour Town last year. Likewise, the 2021 winner will also cash out with a million-dollar figure after four rounds at RBC Heritage 2021.
The winner of RBC Heritage will be earning a seven-figure sum, but that won’t be the case with the runner-up. Since the total prize purse of the tournament is a bit low compared to other events, a second-place finish would fetch a player $773,900.
Furthermore, here’s a tabulated version of the payout for the top five players at RBC Heritage 2021:
Finish | Prize Money |
Winner | $1,278,000 |
Runner-up | $773,900 |
Third-place | $489,900 |
Fourth-place | $347,900 |
Fifth-place | $291,100 |
