“I think the way Tiger is approaching is phenomenal,” said Perez. He was sharing his thoughts on whether to stay on the PGA Tour or choose the Saudi-backed Golf League. Perez further added that he likes that young golfers, too, are following Tiger’s path and chose to stay with the Tour.

Is Tiger Woods an idol for Perez?

Perez said to the press that he and Woods are the same age, just three months apart. However, he idolizes the GOAT. He added, “You know, what he says is pretty much gold.”

Perez is a 45-year-old professional golfer who turned pro in 1997. Although he turned pro a year after Tiger, Pat has yet to create a good profile for him; He has only won three PGA Tour championship titles so far.

Pat further added that he doesn’t think the Saudi-backed Golf League would last long. According to him, the League wouldn’t stay longer in business if the top golfers like Woods and Rory McIlroy would not accept to play at it. He said, “If you don’t have the top kids doing it, I just don’t know how much water it’s going to hold anyway.”
