The whole golfing was excited to see Tiger Woods compete in the PNC Championship. Meanwhile, he was competing in his first-ever event since the solo car crash in February 2021; everyone wanted to see how will Tiger approach his game. But Woods exceeded everyone’s expectations and finished runner-up for the event. 

Woods was struggling a little with his walking. Hence, he was using a golf cart throughout the event. Tiger had Charlie to his assistance as he played some incredible shots with his driver and irons. Meanwhile, a funny incident took place on Sunday as a commentator fake quoted Charlie Woods.

Commentators make a huge mistake by using a fake quote of Charlie about Tiger Woods

Team Daly obliterated the field on Saturday and Sunday to win the family championship. But during the final round of the event, a funny incident took place, where the commentators used a fake quote that they thought was real.

They said that Charlie had said earlier this week that, “I hope they let my dad ride in a cart this year. My back is still sore from carrying him last year.” However, this was just a meme posted by a golf meme account f.u.golf. But the broadcasting team thought it was a legit quote, and they said this on national television.

This video has taken social media by storm as everyone is giving out their hilarious reaction to this. Many people who didn’t know this was a meme thought Charlie actually said these things. But as the truth came out, it was hilarious, and fans couldn’t stop laughing at this naive behavior from the commentators.

Meanwhile, team Woods were on a roll on Sunday as they carded eleven birdies in a row. They just fell short by two strokes as team Daly was unstoppable until the final putt on the 18th green.
