The 2021 Arnold Palmer Invitational will begin on March 3rd. And with less than a week left for the tournament to begin, we can’t help but bring back this monstrous drive from last year’s champion. Nicknamed the Mad Scientist, the power-shot of Bryson DeChambeau is simply unreal.
The crowd erupted in a cheer as Bryson shot the monstrous drive at the par-5 on that Saturday. Notably, Bryson’s tee shot went 370-yards over the water and landed only 70-yards from the hole.

After hitting the ball, no one looked as happy and excited as the golfer himself. As soon as he hit the ball, Bryson knew it would cover the distance he expected. Hence, he began to celebrate, raising both his arms in the air. Even when he was walking towards the ball, the golfer was smiling with pride.
Bryson DeChambeau did it again!
If you think the 370-yards was far enough, hold your horses! Because the Mad Scientist went a step ahead and hit another one on Sunday, which covered more length than the one on Saturday did.

On Sunday, DeChambeau hit another power drive which covered 377-yards over the water and landed in the fairway bunker. Compared to his first drive, the golfer looked calmer and more composed after he hit this shot.
Will Bryson play at the 2022 Arnold Palmer?

Recently, the PGA Tour published a field list comprising Bryson’s name for the Arnold Palmer Invitational. Even his agent confirmed that the golfer would attend the event and defend his title. His agent said, “he is doing everything in his power to play.”
However, in a recent turn of events, Bryson revealed that he would not be playing at the AIP. He explained that even though the event meant a lot to him, he would not be able to play due to his health issues. He also added that he would rest for one more week and attempt to play at The Players Championship next week.
