Jon Rahm is the defending champion at the 2021 Memorial Tournament. He has a lot of expectations on his shoulders putting his title on the line, but the Spaniard proved that great athletes play well under pressure. Rahm made an ace on the par-3 16th hole to achieve a tremendous end to Round 2.

Rahm could not complete his second round on Friday due to darkness. As the Spaniard and his group had an early tee time to finish their round on Saturday, the 27-year-old knew he had to bring out his A-game.

That’s exactly what he did! As Rahm lined up for his tee shot at the par-3 16th hole, he knew he had to make a good strike since the other two shots made by his playing partners landed exceptionally well.

Rahm, who has previously made aces on the PGA Tour, struck a beautiful shot with his 8-iron that traveled 183 yards into the hole. Rahm’s tee shot landed just before the target, took a soft bounce, and then rolled into the hole.

This strike also brought up Jon Rahm’s third career ace and also sent him into the outright lead at the 2021 Memorial Tournament. While Rahm could only make par at the same hole in Round 1, he bettered it by nailing an ace in the second.

This also marked the first ace of the 2021 Memorial Tournament. While the fans were treated to a few eagles, Jon Rahm brought up the maiden hole-in-one, which automatically sent the fans into a frenzy, not to forget his playing partners, Xander Schauffele, and Collin Morikawa
