Viktor Hovland is one of the most promising young golfers on the PGA Tour. He recently won the World Wide Technology Championship at Mayakoba. Hovland carded a final round 67 and won his third PGA Tour in his career. He became the first player to retain the Mayakoba Golf Classic trophy, as had won this trophy in 2020 as well. The Norwegian golfer recently won his 3rd PGA Tour at El Camaleon in Mexico. Hence, he made a surge in the rankings and got into the top-10 of the OWGR. Moreover, recently Nosferatu, a well-known Twitter account for stats in the golfing world, made a tweet about Viktor’s incredible stat.

According to him, from 113 competitive weeks (excluding pandemic pause) since Viktor turned pro in June 2019. He played 61 events, earning 55 OWGR points, which is greater than 90%. Meanwhile, Viktor has 90.2% in total after 113 weeks. He is the highest when it comes to the percentage of events played while earning OWGR points after 113 weeks as a pro.

Tiger’s success, especially early in his career, was unfathomable, and Hovland seems to have just surpassed the legend. Moreover, Collin Morikawa is in third place with 84.2%, while Jordan Spieth, with 82.5%, occupies the fourth spot.

Furthermore, the Spanish golfer and current world no.1, according to OWGR Jon Rahm, is in fifth place with 81.1% of events played while earning OWGR points after 113 weeks as a pro.
