John Daly is one of the most fan-favorite golfers on the PGA Tour. Even though John has won only five PGA Tours in his career, he is the most entertaining golfer. Daly was probably the longest driver of the golf ball during his heydays. However, even at 60, he is still a decent driver of the golf ball.

John Daly and his son John Daly II recently competed at the 2021 PNC Championship. Moreover, they won the event with a record score of -27. They obliterated the field, especially on the final day as they carded -15 on Sunday. John Daly’s son out-drove him, and there is also video evidence to prove it.

John Daly II out-drives John Daly at 2021 PNC Championship

The 18-year-old follows the same principles in golf as his dad. However, there is more to his game than just long drives. John Daly II is a great putter and has saved his dad throughout the week at PNC by making some clutch putts. During the pro-am event of the PNC Championship, John Daly II even out-drove John Daly from the back tees.

On par 4, hole 10, a fan told John Daly II that his dad is calling who had already hit his tee shot from the front tee. John Daly II picked up the call and asked the distance of Daly’s drive as he wanted to out-drive him. Daly answered he was 91 yards away from the pin. So little John had the target in his mind.

He bombed a drive and out-drove his dad by two yards. However, it is interesting to note that John Daly had played this tee from the front tee while his son bombed his drive from the back tees. Hence, the producer asked John Daly what does he wants to say about his son out-driving him.

“He should have. He should have outdrove me by two yards because I heeled mine,” said John Daly and zoomed off in his golf cart. This was probably an incredibly proud moment for John Daly to see his son out-driving him from the back tees.
