Bryson DeChambeau to defend his title!
Despite being on a break, DeChambeau had always expressed his will to defend his title at the Arnold Plamer Invitational. His agent said, “It is important to Bryson to try and defend at an event that has Arnold Palmer’s name on it, so he is doing everything in his power to play.”
Bryson was not able to showcase his Mad Scientist skills in an official tournament this year due to his injuries. Many speculated that his speed training and power-hitting might have been the reason for his injuries. However, the golfer revealed that a slip and fall incident caused his injuries through his social media.
After years of trying, DeChambeau won the Arnold Palmer Invitational in 2021. The victory meant a lot to the young golfer as he always considered Arnold Plamer as his role model. The victory marked his 8th PGA Tour championship title.
DeChambeau won the title with a score of 1-under par in the final round. He made a 5-foot putt for a one-shot victory over the English golfer Lee Westwood. Since the championship means a lot to the golfer, he would try his best to defend his title this time.
