The first event of the 2022 PGA Tour season will begin with the Sentry Tournament of Champions. Tom Watson reveals the player that reminds him of himself
During the interview, the host asked Tom Watson which current player reminds him of himself. And Watson replied, “Well, Justin Thomas a little bit, upright swing, hits the ball high, solid. A little bit.” Meanwhile, both these players have a sort of similar swing, stance, and finish.

Even their style of play is very identical, and hence, Watson rightly chose Justin Thomas over any other player. Notably, Tom Watson is one of the legendary golfers of all time. He has 39 PGA Tours and eight major championship victories in his career. Moreover, his dominance at the Open Championship is unforgettable.

Out of eight major wins, five of them have been from the Open Championship. Watson has won this event in 1975, 1977, 1980, 1982, and 1983. He was giving a tough fight to Jack Nicklaus, Gary Player, and other legends during that era. Hence, he is considered to be one of the best golfers of all time.
Recently, the 72-year-old Tom competed at the PNC Championship and finished T16. He played a few mesmerizing strokes, but understandably because of his age, he wasn’t consistent.

As for JT, he will be competing at the Sentry Tournament of Champions in Hawaii and will be hopeful of starting the year by winning a PGA Tour event.
