Max Homa took a friendly dig at Phil Mickelson after the 2021 Travelers Championship had a cliffhanger of a finish with eight playoff holes, which Harris English won eventually after draining a 20ft birdie putt. Both Harris and Kramer scored -13 after 72 holes which took the game in the sudden-death playoff. 

It was a nail-biting finish as both players were matching each other shot by shot. And the excitement had gone up to the tip of the iceberg on social media as well. Max Homa, who is an ardent user of social media, understands it very well. And he is always ready with his witty tweets. Max took a friendly dig at Phil Mickelson with a tweet after the playoffs.

Max Homa was constantly tweeting during the playoffs and had his commentary going. And when the playoff was finally done he made a humorous tweet saying his thumbs are tired, and now he understands what Phil Mickelson goes through. He says this because Phil has a habit of showing a thumbs up after making a good putt.

So Max Homa tried to nudge Phil with his tweet, to which he agreed and said “Word“. Max is one of those players who is very much active on social media and interacts with the fans and players. But the match was so exciting that no one could hold back everyone watching had to express their excitement. 

The playoff began as Kramer made a birdie on the last hole to join Harris English at the top. Then these two players played seven consecutive holes for par. And it looked it would continue for a few more holes. But unfortunately, Hickok made par with a 2-putt on the eighth hole, giving Harris English an opportunity to win it with a birdie putt for a 20ft putt. 

And fortunately, for English and all the viewers, fans, he drained the putt for a birdie to win the 2021 Travelers Championship. And with this victory, Harris English brought up his fourth PGA Tour win. Everyone looked exhausted after watching a strenuous 80 hole tournament.
