Tiger Woods is probably the greatest golfer of all time. Woods has played an integral part in the evolution of the game. Before Tiger broke onto the scene, everyone considered golf to be slow and an old man’s sport. But since Woods made his debut and started making a name, he attracted millions of people to this sport. 

Tiger has taken golf as a sport to another level and since his professional debut in 1992, golf has evolved and grown over the years. However, it is not just the game that has developed. But the equipment and apparel as well.

Tiger Woods explained how the game has got more athletic and how the apparel and footwear have followed it. “Yeah, the game has changed. It has gone from a more of a leisurely activity to a true sport. People are training like it. They are trading in as such they bring in with it what they have done in the gym to the range and to the course.”

“They are used to being in gym wear and so for them to have something more like it when they play, why not? I mean, every other athlete does it. They go right from the gym to the court, basically wearing the same stuff. Why can’t us as golfers do the same?”

Moreover, Tiger was asked about the significance of the red shirt routine on Sunday. And he said his mom started the red shirt Sunday. She thought red was his power color as a Capricorn. And he went onto win the junior event wearing red, but it did not convince Tiger, so he wore a blue shirt next time and won again. So he told his mom, “look, I can wear whatever I want.”

But then, unfortunately, Tiger lost three straight events wearing blue. Since then, Tiger Woods always wears a red polo on Sundays. Most of his victories have been on the red shirt, so he has followed this tradition ardently.
