The sporting world never rests. Some sports like golf and NBA have very short offseasons, and the latter just headed into free agency. This is a period when athletes with expired contracts can sign with other teams or renew with the same franchise. In the latest news, the Los Angeles Lakers saw one of their younger players sign a contract with a different team, and PGA Tour pro Max Homa was unable to control his emotions.

The NBA free agency has just come into the picture, but there are already a plethora of deals reported. One of them is Alex Caruso’s move from the Los Angeles Lakers to the Chicago Bulls. It indeed came out as a shock as Caruso was a fan-favorite at L.A. and someone who could provide explosive energy on the court.

Lakers fans loved Alex Caruso and so did Max Homa. The latter is a big fan of the 17-time NBA champions, and Homa was unable to hold it in after seeing that Caruso signed a 4-year- $37m deal with the Chicago Bulls.

Max Homa vents disappointment after Los Angeles Lakers lose Alex Caruso to free-agency

Max Homa is an ardent Laker and he was unhappy that the franchise or the player was not keen enough on a new deal. Of course, Caruso was not a core member of the team, but he was always useful coming off the bench. His intensity is off the charts.

Hence, the Lakers losing Caruso to the Bulls is bitter news indeed. He wasn’t a player they were looking to offload. Those guys were already sent to the Washington Wizards as part of the Russell Westbrook trade. Homa is happy about Westbrook coming in, but is dejected about Caruso leaving

“Happy for Carushow but man this is selfishly devastating. He and Shannon Brown had the ability to get me jumping off my couch at any moment. And that’s saying a lot cuz I love my couch,” Homa wrote in a tweet.
