The golf community is quite active on social media. Besides fans, several golfers also make use of Twitter to while away time. Sometimes, these athletes tend to like something or comment on something controversial, which ends up causing sensational news. Englishman Lee Westwood recently got involved in a surprising verbal altercation with renowned media personality Piers Morgan.
Piers Morgan is a television personality who’s well known for his work in an array of different fields. Morgan is very famous in the UK and shares a good relationship with plenty of high-profile athletes. Morgan really does not care about his critics, unless they are, of course, world-famous personalities.

Lee Westwood and Piers Morgan get into a verbal exchange on Twitter
Out of nowhere, Piers Morgan tweeted a post condoning “high-profile” people liking nasty posts about him. Morgan wrote that he is completely aware of the people in his circle who are committing these acts and called them out on the social media platform.
Always fascinating to see high-profile people that I know quite well ‘liking’ nasty tweets about me … presumably thinking they can do it on the sly and I won’t notice. I always notice, and file away for a rainy day.

Of course, once you become famous, you develop a section of people who are against you for whatsoever reason. Piers Morgan, too, has fans who make nasty posts about him on Twitter. Morgan does not care about that, but he has also noticed people who he knows going and liking such posts.
Morgan received a lot of responses in the comments section since making this post. One of them was from English golfer Andrew Johnston, who said: “I didn’t like any nasty tweets. As always I’ll say it to piers or who ever straight up. Nothing to hide.”
Following this comment, Lee Westwood joined in too, with a bit of sarcasm. “Piers must think that everyone else has a memory as short as his backswing,” Westwood wrote, with a barrage of laughing emojis.

This triggered the feelings of Piers Morgan, who felt the urge to deliver a befitting response. And so he did, and wrote: “Not at all… I just prefer to be stabbed in the chest than the back, Mr Westwood… as I’m sure you do.”
