Paige Spiranac is one of the most well-known names in the golfing world. She was a pro golfer and has competed in a few events. However, she sadly could never make it to the ultimate LPGA Tour. Meanwhile, after announcing her retirement, she focused on the media side of things.

She is one of the most followed entities in the golfing world. She has around 3.2 million followers on Instagram and 505K on Twitter. Additionally, Paige also has a podcast where she gives out her views about the current happenings and other things about the game. And recently, she opened up about Phil Mickelson’s controversial apology.

Paige Spiranac fires shots at Phil Mickelson 

Paige Spiranac, in her recent podcast, talked about the whole Phil Mickelson saga. She said Phil gave the worst public apology, and it was terrible. Additionally, Spiranac said people like Phil have huge PR companies, and she doesn’t understand how these kinds of apologies get approved to be published on social media.

“He basically kind of started out saying that he was the victim,” said Paige. “Then moved into how he was doing this because he thought he was helping golf and helping, you know, younger players get more money, and then it moved into a kind of like mental health.”

“I’m taking a step back. It was all around, just bad. He never really took responsibility, I think because he stands by what he said and what he’s doing,” concluded Spiranac.

Phil Mickelson had issued an apology earlier for his comments about the PGA Tour. He had criticized the tour on various aspects and backed the rival league. Furthermore, most of his sponsors have ended or paused their relationship with Mickelson.

The 51-year-old is having a tough time as he is facing criticism from all sides. Meanwhile, Phil hasn’t spoken or revealed anything after the apology. So it will be interesting to see what will be his next step.
