Sports entities are known to vent out their frustration when something goes against their will. Since the feelings come out in the spur of the moment, they usually cannot help themselves from using inappropriate language or gestures even when the camera is on them. To avoid these actions from the golfers at the upcoming PLAYERS Championship, the PGA Tour has sent out an interesting notice for its players.
Golf.com’s Sean Zak shared the notice from Tour to its players on his Twitter.

According to the notice, ESPN+, Golf Channel, and NBC will broadcast the 2022 PLAYERS Championship live. Since it would be a live program, the Tour had advised its players to behave appropriately for the television audience. The notice read, “Producers will have ability to mute when needed, however, be mindful of what you say and do on the course.”
Although the notice might seem funny, there have been instances that caused the Tour to act on it.
What caused the PGA Tour to publish the notice for its players?
A good swing and putting are not the only factors that make a golfer’s game perfect, but external factors like the wind do too. And a small mistake could cost them their championship titles. Therefore, it is not unfamiliar in the golf world to see the golfers lose control of their anger and burst out with emotions when something goes against their calculation.
From cussing to breaking the clubs, they have done it all. Last year, an offensive remark from Justin Thomas had made quite a stir in the golf world. Although he apologized soon after, Ralph Lauren had dropped Thomas as their ambassador.

The organization and broadcasting channels have set their standards to make the sport family-friendly. However, are they really necessary? What do the fans think about it?
Twitter reactions to the post.
Mostly, the fans don’t mind watching the golfers rage on tv as they understand the frustration of not hitting a ball is making them say it.
It's honestly silly that people get offended. The players are under a tremendous amount of pressure and for the most part are very professional with a few slipups here and there. I know everyone wants them to be robots but it's not realistic.

However, some called out names of the golfers who often get in trouble because of cussing on the course.
Always great when they cut to Rahm missing a putt and the audio is muted for like 10 seconds
