The Honda Classic is a premier event pertaining to the Florida Swing. The 2021 edition took place amid COVID-19 complications but concluded in a harmonious manner. While Matt Jones won the tournament, it was Tiger Woods, who stole the show on Sunday.

Tiger Woods did not take part at the Honda Classic 2021. The 45-year-old is currently recovering from a single-car crash that took place late in February, but his loyal fans ensured that Woods’ presence was felt at the PGA National Golf Course on Sunday.

How to best honor Tiger Woods when he’s not playing at an event? Well, it’s simple – rock Woods’ iconic Sunday outfit, and you’re a showstopper! That’s exactly what a group of college students from Fort Lauderdale did at the Honda Classic 2021.

The vibrant group came dressed in red polos to emulate the famous look of Tiger Woods. Of course, it is well known that Woods likes to wear bright red shirts on Sundays when he’s closing out a tournament.

Since Woods wasn’t participating in the tournament, the college group extended their support to Aaron Wise, since he lives in the same Jupiter island as the 82-time PGA Tour winner.

“We’re representing Tiger Woods. He’s not here today, but we’re thinking about him, we’re hoping he makes a comeback real soon, and we’re excited about it. It means everything to the game of golf,” expressed Ross Udine, a hardcore Tiger Woods fan

While Woods continues his recovery, his fans are awaiting his grand return to the tour. One can never write off a champion like Woods since he’s proved his mettle time and time again.

What’s Woods’ best finish at the Honda Classic?

It is surprising that Tiger Woods has never soared to victory at the prestigious Honda Classic event. The golf legend has never been a constant presence at this tournament, but he managed a second-place finish in 2012

Tiger Woods put on quiet displays in the first three rounds but shot 8-under 62 in Round 4 to gain places in the leaderboard. However, this wasn’t enough to earn him championship honors as Woods finished tied for second place behind Rory McIlroy.

In the end, it was a close finish. Woods and Tom Gillis only lost by two strokes as McIlroy had the last laugh at the PGA National seven years ago.
