At first glance, one would think that Homa must have done it to support his favorite baseball team. However, that is when the commentators began to laugh and pointed out the jersey had Postonā€™s name on it. Why would Homa wear a jersey that belongs to another golfer competing at the same tournament?

Homa is a 31-year-old American golfer who joined the PGA tour in 2014. He has three PGA Tour championship titles so far. On the other hand, Poston is a 28-year-old American golfer who joined the Tour in 2017. The golfer has only managed to win just a title in the PGA events.Ā

Notably, both golfers are die-hard fans of the baseball league. Homa is a Los Angeles Dodgers fan, whereas Poston is an Atlanta Braves fan. Dodgers lost a match to Braves. And as part of a bet between the golfers, Homa had to wear the jersey to the tournament.

As the winner of the bet, Poston was the one who asked the PGA Tour to help him see his friend wearing his favorite teamā€™s jersey. Poston took the next step and asked the Tour to pair him and Homa in the same group to witness the scene himself.

However, the PGA Tour paired them with different golfers for the second round of the tournament; J. T. Poston was paired with Joel Dahmen and Keith Mitchell, while Max Homa was paired with Tom Hoge and Sam Burns.

The golfersā€™ reactions to the post

The moment the PGA Tour posted the video on their social media platform, Poston wasted no time making fun of his friend. He soon retweeted the post on his Twitter.Ā Ā
