The AT&T Byron Nelson concluded on Sunday after four days of exciting action. Sam Burns played beautifully at TPC Craig Ranch, but K.H. Lee displayed solid golf under harsh conditions to run away with the victory. Lee also accomplished a major feat by winning the AT&T Byron Nelson 2021.
The TPC Craig Ranch proved to be a golfer’s paradise in the first three rounds. The greens were exquisite and the wind made it even more playable. There was an abundance of low-scoring rounds, but Round 2 was massively hindered by inclement weather.
However, the rain didn’t stop K.H. Lee from scoring effectively in the final round. He shot a 6-under 66 on Sunday and improved his aggregate to 263. This number is quite incredible and implies that Lee has been massively consistent throughout the tournament.

65, 65, 67, and 66. These were the numbers K.H. Lee posted in each of his four rounds. His 263 aggregate over the week is the lowest at the AT&T Byron Nelson tournament since 1983!
Lee went 25-under par and shattered the tournament’s scoring record. The previous record stood at 23-under par, and K.H. Lee bettered it by two strokes. It is incredible to know that he achieved it despite the pouring rain on Sunday!
K.H. Lee is the third South Korean champion at AT&T Byron Nelson
The AT&T Byron Nelson is a popular tournament on the tour and it has a rich history with South Koreans. Sung Kang won the tournament by going 23-under par in 2019, and K.H. Lee has followed in his compatriot’s footsteps.
Kang became the second consecutive South Korean to win the AT&T Byron Nelson, and the third overall. The first one to do it was Sangmoon Bae in 2013.

Lee had 79 unsuccessful starts prior to the AT&T Byron Nelson, but he held together his confidence and delivered when it mattered.
