Justin Thomas is currently competing at the 2022 Sentry Tournament of Champions and has won this event once in 2020. JT has had a poor start as he is -5 after round two. Meanwhile, Cameron Smith leads the event with a score of -17 and has a lead of three strokes going into the weekend.  

Currently, Saudi International is a hot topic. And at least one reporter does ask PGA Tour players about their views on this topic. Hence, during the pre-round press conference, a reporter questioned about not showing any interest in playing at Saudi International. So let us see what does Justin Thomas has to say on this.

Justin Thomas wants to build a legacy on the PGA Tour like Tiger Woods

Justin said his primary goal is to win on the PGA Tour. However, he also wants to do as many great things as possible on the PGA Tour. “My goal is to win and do as many great things in the history of the game on the PGA Tour,” said JT. Moreover, just like Tiger Woods, his primary focus will always be PGA Tour, and that’s where he wants to build a legacy. 

Thomas then explained his career goal on the PGA Tour. “A huge career goal of mine is to win both tours, the FedExCup, and the DP World Tour in the same season.”

JT believes that’s a huge goal, and it would be a tremendous accomplishment if he achieves it. However, he feels they don’t have enough time to compete on the DP World Tour. “I think if we had the opportunity to maybe have some time off in the fall to where we could go play in some of the DP World events to build a little bit of a bankroll on that money list.”

Meanwhile, he feels currently playing well on the PGA Tour is crucial. But JT says he would love to be able to play on both tours and not feel exhausted and have some advantage in the DP World Tour standings as well and get a chance to win the year-end championship.
