Recently, Lou Stagner, a golf statistician, tweeted a stat that showed the players with the highest percent of rounds that were 64 or less. The duration of this stat was from 1983 to 2021. And the criteria was a player should have played a minimum of 300 rounds on the PGA Tour. And this is what the stat revealed.
Justin Thomas is the leader in this stat, with 4.72% of his rounds were 64 or below. Meanwhile, the GOAT of golf Tiger Woods isn’t far behind him. Tiger has 4.39% of rounds that were 64 or below. However, it is interesting to note that Justin has played only half the number of rounds of Tiger Woods.

Thomas has played 615 rounds so far, while Woods has played around 1322 rounds. Moreover, Justin Thomas is one of the few golfers who has a sub 60 round on the PGA Tour. He achieved this milestone at the 2017 Sony Open.

However, when it comes to the players who have played more than a thousand rounds, Tiger undoubtedly tops the list. The player next to Woods is Webb Simpson, with 4.27% of rounds that were 64 or less in 1101 rounds.

Meanwhile, the unusual name on this list is Joaquin Niemann. The youngster from Chile has already played around 320 rounds on the PGA Tour so far and has 3.44% of rounds that were 64 or below.
