It is that time of the year! PGA Tour announced the 2022 Player Advisory Council (PAC) members. Like every year, the Advisory Council has 16 members. Let’s find out who all will be joining the old members like Jon Rahm.

The 16 member Player Advisory Council is chosen every year to advise or consult the PGA Tour Policy Board to improve Tour. The council members directly connect with the director board or the Commissioner, Jay Monahan.
Rory McIlroy will replace Jordan Spieth in the PAC
Last year, Rory McIlroy won the election to become the director of the Player Advisory Council (PAC). He is elected through the player-only election. McIlroy will be replacing Jordan Spieth, who used to be the director for the last three years.
Once a director of PAC is elected, he/she will continue the term for three years. That means Rory will be the director of the council till 2024. It is the first time an international player becoming a director since its foundation; McIlroy is an Irish golfer.

The 32-year-old Irish golfer has won 20 PGA Tour victories and 8 International victories. He was part of the Ryder Cup for Team Europe and has represented the team more than 5 times. Rory also took part in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
Other members to join Jon Rahm in the Players Advisory Council
The 2022 Council has retained some of its old members; The current world no.1 Jon Rahm, Peter Malnati, Paul Casey, Harry Higgs, Billy Horschel, and Russell Knox will be part of this year’s council as well.

The rest of the ten members include Brooks Koepka, Patrick Cantlay, etc. Brooks is a four-time major winner, and Cantlay is the current champion of the FedEx Cup.

Player Directors have selected Cantlay, Horschel, Malnati, and Webb Simpson for the election to become the co-chairman of the PAC. However, only the two members who receive the most votes will become the chairman. They will be replacing James Hahn and Kevin Kisner as their three-year term ends in 2022.
