The PNC Championship 2021 was a must-watch event in golf history. The winning pair John Daly and his son John Daly II creating records, Tiger Woods’s comeback after a major car accident; spectators had a lot to take in from the championship.
After winning the championship, in an interview with Full Send Podcast, Daly revealed his most favorite moment in his entire golf career.

He said, “well for me it was the British Open. And now I have to say the open because that’s what they want you to say but 95, to see if I could do it again to win another major. British Open in 95.”

The competition was fierce as John Daly and Costantino Rocca battled for the title in a four-hole playoff. The British Open was his second major win after the 1991 PGA Championship.

Daly was the clear winner by the end of the championship; however, Rocca flipped the game and pulled them into a play-off. Although Rocca pulled a playoff, Daly was too good for him; John Daly won by four strokes in a four-hole playoff.
Although the win seemed simple for the spectators, there were a lot of mind games happening behind the scene. In an interview, John Daly revealed he was offered a huge amount of money to “tank” the British Open.
According to John, many people offered him money; however, he declined it as he thinks it is not ethical for a golf player to accept such things. He said, “In the year I won, one guy said ‘look if you tank it, I’ll give you a million bucks.’ I said ‘go f*** yourself, no way.”

John Daly and his son, John Daly II, have won the 2021 PNC Championship over Tiger Woods and his son, Charlie Woods.
Although the Woods pair scored 11 consecutive birdies in the game, the Daly-duo was too good for them. While the birdies were a record, the Daly-pair won the championship with a final score of -27; the score was the lowest in the tournament’s history.
