Jordan Spieth’s season has been somewhat a hit and miss. While his first two starts last year ended with him not making the cut, he has finished in the top ten nine times this season. Spieth took part in the World Golf Championships-FedEx St. Jude Invitational last week, but will he tee it up at the upcoming Wyndham Championship at Sedgefield Country Club?

Before the PGA Tour begins with the playoffs for the FedEx Cup, golfers get one last chance at the Wyndham Championship. Founded in 1938 as the Greater Greensboro Open, Wyndham has a lot of history to it. Today, most do view it as a last push, mostly to earn a spot in the FedEx Cup playoffs that follow. Hideki Matsuyama, Patrick Reed, and Rickie Fowler are the prominent names competing this year.

Having finished T12 at the Invitational (10-under 270), Spieth will surely focus on a big win at the Northern Trust. That being said, he ranks second in the current FedEx Cup Standings. Collin Morikawa leads, followed by Spieth and Patrick Cantlay. Spieth’s only win this season was the Valero Texas Open, where he carded 18-under 270.

However, he did finish second during the Open Championship and the Charles Schwab Challenge. He has played 22 events this season, missing the cut four times – Safeway Open, US Open 2020, Vivint Houston Open, and Farmers Insurance Open.
