The U.S Open 2021 got underway at Torrey Pines on Thursday. The much-awaited third major tournament of the year is heading into the second round where we could see a lot of names end up missing the cut. Here’s everything you need to know about tee times, featured groups, and live coverage info ahead of Round 2 on Friday.
The organizers faced a hindrance right before the start of the tournament due to fog. Proceedings were delayed by 90 minutes which eventually led to a late finish. In fact, a handful of players are yet to complete their opening rounds and the list includes Dustin Johnson and Rory McIlroy.
Russell Henley and Louis Oosthuizen sit atop the leaderboard after 18 holes at Torrey Pines. The duo shot 4-under in Round 1 (Oosthuizen is yet to complete his opening round). Francesco Molinari and Rafa Cabrera Bello are tied for second place, trailing the leaders by one shot.
