Here Are the Equipment Jon Rahm Carries in His Golf Bag

Jon Rahm is currently the torchbearer when it comes to Spanish players’ influence on the PGA Tour. It has been passed onto many players through different generations, and Rahm has been the face of it since turning pro in 2016. Rahm is not too keen on understanding the science behind the sport, but he’s meticulous about his equipment.

Jon Rahm has been one of the most dominant forces on the PGA Tour in recent times. He’s won five events on the tour and has been finding success in Europe as well. Furthermore, Rahm’s switch from TaylorMade to Callaway early in 2021 caused quite a stir among golf fans. 

He’s been using Callaway golf clubs ever since making the switch and his prototypes have been an alluring piece of craftsmanship. This led us to instigate the types of golf clubs that Rahm has been using with his new sponsor. 

Rahm is very specific about his equipment

Rahm recently collaborated with Callaway Golf for an entertaining video. The Spaniard mentions how he picks his golf clubs based on the nature of his game. Rahm states that he never seeks details about the club and that his job is purely to give feedback after testing prototypes. 

“Nowadays there’s so much that goes into adjusting a golf club. The first thing to me it needs to be appealing to the eye and they all are. The design team does a great job they’re all beautiful looking,” said Rahm while talking about the importance of modern-day equipment. 

Jon Rahm further mentioned that the second factor he looks at is how the club feels upon making contact with the ball. Every player has his own taste, and Rahm focuses on the flight of the ball after the impact. 

“I have very specific string dynamics. So I can tell you right away what’s gonna work and what’s not gonna work,” stated Rahm when asked if he can identify a good club just by picking it up. 

Jon Rahm has a specific combination of woods and irons in his bag and it is not much different from the others. He prefers 15 to 18 degrees of loft on his woods and primarily uses a 22 degree Callaway iron.

Jon Rahm carries 14 clubs in his bag just like every other golfer. He does not go under the regulated limit and likes a variety of wedges in his bag. Rahm is one of the master wedge players on the tour and he’s currently liking the switch from TaylorMade to Callaway.
