Billy Horschel is one of the most outspoken golfers on the Tour. Meanwhile, he has a lot of potential to become one of the best players on the PGA Tour. But sadly, Billy hasn’t been able to translate his talent to performance. Horschel has six PGA Tour wins and two European Tour wins in his career so far. However, he hasn’t won a major championship in his career so far.
Meanwhile, he is currently competing at the DP World Tour Championship in Dubai. Moreover, with the withdrawal of Jon Rahm, there are only six players from the field of 53 players who can win the season-long Race to Dubai title. Furthermore, there are only two players Collin Morikawa, and Billy Horschel, who can win achieve this without even winning this weekend.

Billy Horschel wants PGA Tour to be more competitive
Billy Horschel is competing at the DP World Tour Championship in Dubai for the first time. He looked relaxed and happy to be competing in this event. However, he turned slightly serious when asked about the current state of the PGA Tour in the pre-round press conference.
“We should make the tour more competitive,” Billy said. “We would change the way the money pays out where the top 30, 40 guys get paid a lot of money, and then you don’t get paid as much down below. So it really pushes guys to really do everything they can to be the best player they can be.”
Moreover, he said instead of giving 125 cards every year, PGA Tour should cut it down to 100 and Korn Ferry cards from 50 to 30. “Now you’re getting the better players week in and week out,” continued Billy. “Doing that takes care of any other tour that comes along to compete against the PGA Tour or the European Tour.”

Should be 15-20 Monday Q spots available for PGA/Korn Ferry events. Give guys without status a chance to earn it. Would create great storylines

Agree with him. Less protection of guys who haven’t won in a decade means more room for up and comers and a more dynamic field.

Didn't take long for him to forget where he came from and how his career started.

Drop the 125 to 75, opens up the field to more Korn Ferry guys, 25 spots every Monday in Korn Ferry, 10 spots every Monday in PGA

Ridiculous

@czabe ….and we have a new leader in the clubhouse for "Who will the red state golf fan root for?" And he's 100% right. https://t.co/lGzbrKKch8

Billy Horschel is the biggest loser on the PGA Tour. Guy thinks he’s way better than he is https://t.co/aoXGZ5R6FU

An absolute terrible take by Billy. With this logic we should make nba teams 8 players. NHL teams can only have 2 lines and 1 goalie. Practice squad for the NFL, gone. Don’t forget where you came from Billy. https://t.co/bfBhSdsr95

Congratulations @BillyHo_Golf You made yourself less likeable. Terrible take.
